How UK airport parking discount codes work

A discount code is applied at the checkout of a car park operator or booking platform, not at the barrier when you arrive. It reduces the pre-booked rate, which is already lower than the drive-up price. The two savings stack, and that stacking is where most of the money is.

Almost every UK airport car park runs two prices for the same space. The gate price is what you pay if you turn up without booking. The pre-booked price is what the operator charges to fill that space in advance, and it is routinely half the gate price or less. A voucher code then comes off the pre-booked figure.

That matters for how you use this site. A code advertised as up to 25% off is not a quarter off the price you would otherwise have paid on the day — it is a percentage off a number that was already discounted, and the percentage it actually returns depends on the car park and the dates. Booking eight days at Gatwick with a park and ride operator costs about £95 at the barrier and about £58 pre-booked; code BCP25 takes that to roughly £46. The code saved £12. Booking ahead saved £37.

How much does a discount code actually save?

Below is the same eight-day stay priced three ways at four airports: at the barrier, pre-booked, and pre-booked with a code. The right-hand column is the figure worth judging a code by.

Meet and greet shows the largest cash saving because it starts from the highest base price, not because the codes are better. Judged as a percentage of the pre-booked rate, every row above saves the same 20%. If you are choosing a parking type on price alone, park and ride wins at all four airports even after the code is applied to both.

NHS and Blue Light searches run to roughly 4,000 a month across UK airports, and the honest answer is not the one most sites give. A Blue Light Card carries genuine travel-category offers, but airport parking appears in that category far less often than cardholders expect, and when it does the percentage rarely exceeds what is already public.

Meet and greet or park and ride?

Park and ride is cheaper at every UK airport, without exception, and meet and greet is faster at every UK airport, without exception. The decision is only ever about what the difference is worth on the day you fly.

On an eight-day booking with a code applied, meet and greet typically runs £8 to £27 above park and ride depending on the airport. Against that, park and ride adds a shuttle transfer of 5 to 20 minutes each way plus waiting time, and meet and greet removes it entirely. Travelling with small children, heavy luggage, a pre-dawn flight or a tight connection tends to justify the difference. A solo trip with hand luggage rarely does.

How we verify every code on this site

Every code listed here is tested against a live booking before it is published, and re-tested weekly. A code that has stopped working is removed the same week rather than left to expire quietly, which is why some airport pages carry fewer codes than competitors — the ones that are gone are gone.
